Stop Putting Toxins In and Around Your Vag

Stop Putting Toxins In and Around Your Vag

Polyester is plastic at its core. It is a synthetic fiber derived from petroleum. It’s engineered and its heavily chemically processed. The same goes for spandex (elastane), which is often blended into underwear for stretch. These fibers were never designed to work with the body in the same way natural fibers do. EVERYTHING has a frequency, and synthetic fibers have a frequency that is LESS than that of a dead body. That isn't a joke. Nylon, Acrylic, and Polyester have a frequency of ZERO, while a dead body has a frequency of 15.

Organic Cotton Frequency = 100

Linen Frequency = 5,000

Healthy Human has an average frequency of 68-70 while someone with the flu might have a frequency closer to 50. (much higher than synthetic fabrics)

If something is sitting on arguably the most sensitive, absorbent areas of the body all day long, it needs to be as close to natural as possible and it needs to work with the body, not fight against it. Underwear creates a micro-environment: warm, damp, and in constant contact with skin.

These petroleum based fabrics that never degrade and never leave our body.  They interfere with our hormones, our immune response, infertility, cancers, heart disease, and yet we are putting this in our vaginas!

Heat opens up the pores; friction increases absorption, and that means its going to our blood streams.

Polyester and synthetic blends don’t breathe the same way natural fibers do. They tend to trap heat and hold onto moisture rather than allowing airflow. And when synthetic fabrics get wet, whether from daily wear, workouts, or just normal body function, the combination is not healthy for us. And actually, is detrimental to our health.

Lululemon has faced legal challenges recently over how certain products and materials were represented to consumers. The details of these cases vary, but the broader takeaway is clear and definitely isn't new: these fabrics are not meant to be on our bodies especially for prolonged periods of time and definitely not while damp.

Synthetic fabrics are known to shed microscopic plastic particles over time, another deafening reason that these should not be used for underwear.

What I Choose Instead

For everyday wear: organic cotton. Breathable, soft, and simple. It allows airflow, doesn’t trap heat in the same way, and has a higher frequency than synthetic fibers and wont leach microplastics into the body.

For sleep: linen. Linen is incredibly breathable, naturally moisture-wicking, and ideal for overnight when the body is in its most restorative state and has the highest frequency than any other fabric.

For feminine products like tampons and pads I use organic cotton that haven't been treated with bleaches, dyes, and or chemicals.

You can find all of my favorites linked below. Note: I prefer a classic thong style for day to day, and full coverage for night, but search the sites linked below for your preferred style.
