It is hard to know which is the right option for your baby. And as someone who does believe breast is best, ALL of my children have been on formula. I wanted to make sure that I was giving them the absolute best possible form of nutrition via formula. After doing a deep dive on formula, meeting with some of the founders, factories, and pediatricians; Here is what I look for: I look for no maltodextrin, no corn syrup solids, no added sugars like sucrose, brown rice syrup, or other sweetening agents. I also look for WHOLE milk, not SKIM milk. When whole milk is used, less fillers need to be added for calories. I personally prefer organic goat milk over cow's milk, because goat milk has a composition closer to breast milk than cow’s milk. Notes: Sammy's Milk: A formula all of my kids have done really well on. I have met and spoken with the founding team many times and this is currently my favorite on the market. Grass fed goat milk, Made in the USA, No cheap seed oils (they use avocado oil), no corn syrup, no fillers . Labeled as a "Toddler Formula" (I am comfortable starting this formula once the baby is on solids). My pediatrician was as well. I started Leighton on this at 4 months and I started Evander on this by 6 months. Serenity Kids Toddler: This is a great seed Oil Free Option Nara Organic: I like that they use Whole Milk from Grass Fed Cows, its USA made with European standards Kendamil Organic: EU Organic from grass fed cows. I used to do the Goat option when I can find it. I can usually find the Organic Cows option, This is the main formula that Baby Zsa Zsa used. Little Oak: Full Cream Milk, Goat Milk base, No added sugar, does have seed oils. You can find more about my favorite formulas at the links below.
