How to Prevent Mosquitos and Heal Bites
By: Lorissa Violet

Mosquitos are a hot topic right now especially. Here you will find my mosquito research and recommended preventatives as well as what you can use to soothe bites when they do occur.
First, let's talk preventative. If you are someone who always get bit by mosquitos this isn't just bad luck. Mosquitos are attracted to blood that is toxic, and often high in ammonia. They are also attracted to strong odors in the skin so if you are someone who uses perfume, scented lotion, or other scented products this may attract them more.
A great nontoxic preventative is Elite Harmony Oil, you can place this topically on the skin.
Immune Harmony Oil is a great relief and can be put on all bites and stings.
Taking internal products like Cir Q Tonic Found Here and Schisandra Found HERE can help to support the body’s response to bites while helping calm the skin.
Essential Oils that Repel Mosquitos:
Clove and Cinnamon are incredible at keep mosquitos away because they contain compounds that mosquitos avoid.
Lorissa's Simple Mosquito Deterring Spray:
2 cups distilled or filtered water
2 tablespoons whole organic cloves
2 cinnamon sticks
2 tablespoons of witch hazel
Bring water to a simmer, add cloves and cinnamon sticks, let this simmer for about 15 minutes, remove from heat, straining is optional, sometimes I leave the cloves and cinnamon sticks in. Once cooled, add the witch hazel and add to a spray bottle. My favorite spray bottles FOUND HERE.
Spray on clothing anytime you'll be outside!
